Liron, Shootz & The Quasi Company
"Eifo Dana Company"
2004-2010
Performance art company based in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.
A group of artists from different disciplines – Art, Music, Architecture, Media & Theater- creating live art performances, installations & producing various art and theater events.
Four performers dressed as brides and grooms were suspended from a large scale rotating mobile engaging in a slow paced choreographed dance accompanied by music.
"The performance, “The Wedding March”, perfectly illustrates found expressions of modern relationships. Thus the performance integrates in the tradition of modern performance which sees itself as an artistic instrument for social or psychological critique of everyday life. No more disconnected art meant to amuse but art which is live and kicking, whose objective Is to deal with the here and the now" ('makor reshon' 18.1.06)
Eight performers dressed in old-fashioned suits build a tree made of steel pipes which are taken out from vintage suitcases. Upon completing the construction, the tree will rise to a height of 3 meters, looking much like a beautiful image of a tree in the fall. The tree will not remain erected for long; soon it will be dismantled and returned back to the suitcases.
The tree refers to the tradition of tree planting in Israel; a tradition which is related to the values and hopes of the "Chalutzim" – the pioneers who came to build the new country in Israel. The planting of the tree in "Natua" presents the ensemble generation's questions about what happened to that dream and to the society we find ourselves in today. This tree is rigid and episodic; its steel roots remain disconnected from the earth it "grows" from.
“Hayama” An aquatic work by the “Eifo Dana” company. A multidisciplinary installation. One by one, the group members get out and head for the water, carrying their gear and belongings. They’ll build their new home on the water’s surface and set up an aquatic settlement, the first of its kind. Eifo Dana has chosen to “immigrate and settle the land” in reverse, accompanied by lyrics and melody Explore the new significance of the concepts of “settlement” and “Tower and Stockade".
An interactive installation, in collaboration with "Centrala" group – Poland. A "package" from abroad. What's in there? Take five steps, enter your head, look left, then right. Where are you now? Inside the "package" we've created a "polish winter" for the heated heads.
